Sex-Based Harassment in the Workplace: A Training for Professionals to Support Opportunity Youth is a research-based, three-part training for professionals who support opportunity youth attempting to enter or reconnect to employment. This training helps professionals who support opportunity youth better understand and address sex-based harassment in the workplace that opportunity youth may face, based on their specific circumstances and contexts.

The three modules may be taken independently or all together, based on the information and training needs of individuals or groups of youth-supporting professionals. Each module includes a video of narrated slides, a PDF of the slides, and a quiz to reinforce lessons learned.

Module 1: Introduction to Sex-Based Harassment ​in the Workplace for Professionals ​Who Support Opportunity Youth.

This module introduces sex-based harassment for opportunity youth-supporting professionals and includes an introduction to the training, information on the prevalence of sex-based harassment in the workplace for opportunity youth, and an overview of the role of youth-supporting professionals in understanding and addressing sex-based harassment in the workplace.

Module 2: Understanding Sex-Based Harassment.

This module builds understanding of sex-based harassment in the workplace for opportunity youth-supporting professionals. It includes definitions for, and types of, sex-based harassment; an overview of the unique circumstances that opportunity youth face; information on the potential risks for exposure to sex-based harassment for opportunity youth; and descriptions of the consequences of sex-based harassment.

Module 3: Addressing Workplace Sex-Based Harassment.

This module describes how opportunity youth-supporting professionals can address sex-based harassment in the workplace. This module includes explanations of federal and state legal protections and the ways in which employers, opportunity youth programs, and opportunity youth-supporting professionals can help prevent and respond to sex-based harassment in the workplace.
